First one’s on us

Jennifer Walker
Jennifer WalkerOwner/Coach

I have been in the fitness industry since 2003. But it wasn’t until July of 2008 that I found my passion for CrossFit. CrossFit NorthWest Tucson is one of the original CrossFit gyms in the Tucson area.

I have witnessed the most remarkable changes in people who commit to CrossFit. What I mean by fully commit, is following CrossFit consistently, 4-6 times per week, eat following a Zone or Paleo /Zone diet, and develop an understanding and practice of the skills and intensity required to impact change in the body. I’ve seen drastic change occur in a very short time in people I have been training for years. These changes are physical, mental, and emotional, in other words, a lifestyle change.

My CrossFit journey began in 2008 in my daughter’s back yard. I became a client of Jennifer’s and now we’re business partners here at CrossFit Northwest Tucson.

CrossFit is my sport and has changed my life in so many ways. Have you ever picked up your grandchild or child from the floor? That’s a dead lift. Have you taken something from your garage and pushed it up to the top storage shelve using your legs and arms? You’ve done a push press. Seeing first hand that a healthy lifestyle was possible through constantly varied, high intensity and functional movements convinced me that CrossFit offers a total fitness and scalability for any age or lifestyle.

Emily Robinson

My name is Emily Robinson. I was born in Fullerton, California but was raised here in Tucson. I’ve been doing CrossFit since Spring of 2012 when my dad picked my sister and I up from softball practice one night and took us to this very gym for a tour and to see if we would be interested. Right away we walked in and saw people doing things I’d never really seen before, and yes it was very strange and intimidating. However, it was very intriguing at the same time. In a way, it looked fun.
