CrossFit NorthWest Tucson is open 7 days a week. With the purchase of a membership or punch card, you can attend Group CrossFit Classes, Lifting Classes, and Open Gym. See our Schedule for specific class times.

What to expect from our Group CrossFit Classes:

  • One hour class.
  • Suggested warm up catered to the movements in the daily WOD, as well as potential sore spots from the previous day.
  • Technique of the movements in the workout. We teach every day, every class, no matter your ability level. We are in the business of getting you to move better, more efficiently, more intensely under load. At any time, you can have a light bulb go off.
  • Set up time, weight warm up time if the WOD includes a heavy weight.
  • The WOD
  • Time to collect scores and clean up.
  • High fives & Atta Boy/Girls

As a courtesy, we encourage all of our members to wait to clean up equipment until after everyone is finished with the workout. We also help people understand friendly etiquette to those working out in your class. Not only do we develop your skill and performance in the WODs, but we also foster a community that supports each other to inspire and motivate us all to keep coming back.

We encourage all CrossFit NorthWest Tucson members to record and track their workouts. This gives you a guideline, goals, and accountability for all the hard work you put into your fitness. CrossFit NorthWest Tucson has used Beyond the Whiteboard since 2009 to record our workouts. Go to Beyond the Whiteboard to sign up. Select CrossFit NorthWest Tucson as your gym. You will be prompted to input your credit card info, but CFNWT currently pays for our current/active members to use Beyond The Whiteboard. *Note: Members have easier luck signing up initially on a computer than downloading the app for everyday day use on their phone.

The Weight Lifting Class is open to all current members of CrossFit NorthWest Tucson, regardless of skill, age, or strength. This class is designed for anyone interested in improving their technique, strength, and power – with a corresponding improvement to their CrossFit workout times. This class is also for those who simply enjoy lifting, and want increased emphasis on technique and strength.

The focus of the class is on increasing strength and improving technical execution of the Power lifts (back squat, dead lift, and bench press) and Weightlifting (Olympic) lifts (Snatch and Clean & Jerk). Programmed micro- and macro-cycles include:

  • Weightlifting emphasis (strength/technique/competition)
  • Powerlifting emphasis – continuing Wendler 5-3-1 cycle for those with limited time, or focusing on base strength
  • Hybrid Weightlifting/Hypertrophy workout, combining the best of Olympic lifting and isolation work. If you want to build more strength and definition without sacrificing your prowess in the traditional lifts – this is for you!

What to expect from our Weight Lifting Class:

  • 60 to 90-minutes
  • Relaxed atmosphere with self-warm-up; fully supervised and coached
  • Movement explanation and review at the beginning of each class
  • Technical corrections applied to the individual
  • Pre-Programmed cycles with accessory work; individual programing and coaching is available
  • Programming methods influenced by Wendler, Outlaw Way, and Catalyst Athletics.


Goal: If you want to compete at CrossFit Regionals(Team, Masters, Teen) or local CFNWT competitions

Are you looking to take your CrossFit to the next level? The program is intense and requires focus, dedication and doing what it takes to be the best you at CrossFit!

Basic information:

  • The cost for 12 weeks: $60 (That equals $5 a week, $20 a month)
  • Once your payment goes through for the Competitors program, you will receive access to the Facebook Competitors Group and will get the test week programming.
  • You will not be doing the daily WODs during the first test week but during the remaining 11 weeks of the program, you will be doing the Daily WOD’s as RX or RX+ when written.
  • You will have a guide to follow to build strength and to improve on your gymnastics skills weekly.
  • There will be a burner WOD programmed weekly that is to be done after the daily WOD (opposite the days of strength and gymnastics work)
  • Mobility, nutrition guidance, sleep/recovery, hydration are also a part of the program.

CrossFit NorthWest Tucson is a community rich with members all supporting each other in their workouts and their nutrition. Eating healthy does not mean a boring, bland life of food. There are many websites and books that support the diets we recommend.

Private Nutrition Coaching: The private nutrition coaching option is for those who prefer to work with a coach on a more personal level. As your mentor, your nutrition coach will help you dial into your personal performance and physique goals.

Together we will crush the obstacles and master the mental game of being fit and strong. Meeting with a coach on a regular basis provides the accountability you need to stay on track.

At CrossFit NorthWest Tucson, we embrace the community aspect of working out in our Group Classes. We also understand that sometimes a more personal approach with one-on-one training would better suit your needs.

Personal Training is an option for people who want to achieve individual fitness goals and gain mastery of CrossFit’s fundamental movements. One on one coaching will ensure you progress at your individual pace. You will practice the skill of the movement before increasing intensity and load. Your program will be tailored to meet your individual fitness goals.

Personal training is recommended if you have been sedentary for an extended period of time, if you are training for a specific sport or event, if you wish to specialize in a specific area of fitness, have significant health limitations, or just prefer the additional attention and accountability.
